What would cause my network to have ip conflict when i have a single windows 2003 DHCP server?
Any help would be apriciated

A statically assigned address. Especially if you do not have automatic conflict detection turned on:

However, since the server-side detection using a ping to determine whether to lease an address, a machine with a static address would render the conflict detection useless if it had a firewall on.

If you do have conflict detection on...
Is the conflicted IP a reservation in DHCP? Could be that someone has statically entered the IP on a workstation that is a reservation for another PC within DHCP.
Could also be an IP that is outside the DHCP scope.

The conflict detection was set to 0 default, so i changed it to 3.
I have a seperate ip range for static ips, and offcource htey are not in the dhcp scope.
Thanks for your help.
