IM having a problem with my private network I have 2 computers that have the same ip adress when i change it it will not go on the internet or see the other computer on the internet. My network has a 4 port dsl router which is crossover into a 8 port switched hub please help. My addressins scheme is the typical private 192.168.0.1

try clearing the arp cache of your dsl router.. if it has one...

Star TAC is right!
As long as the new IP address is in the same subnet, you should have no problem.
Depending on the manufacture and model, the router will maintain a cache from 30 seconds to any fanite time. The easiest way to clear the cache... cycle the power!

Make sure the router is installed as a gateway.
i.e.
PC1 = 192.168.0.1, 255,255,255,0, Gateway = 192.168.0.3
PC2 = 192.168.0.2, 255,255,255,0, Gateway = 192.168.0.3
Router = 192.168.0.3
Both computers should then see the router to connect to the internet.
