IP Configuration

I have a cisco 2501 router. When I type "show arp" it is showing the
following for one of the ip addresses.
Protocol = Internet
Address = 209.214.213.xx
Age = 0
Hardware Addr = Incomplete
Type = ARPA
Interface is blank

My question is how can I edit this record to add the hardware address?

its not seeing the MAC address of the device.
Can you ping? I would guess not.
make sure that the device with the problem is setup correctly ip, subnet, and gateway
Also make sure you have a link. Is the device 10 or 100 base? What is your ethernet
setup for?
