Is there any way to perform an IP Configuration Backup on a Signaling Server @ 4.5 software level without going through the utilities menu on startup? I want to remote into the Signaling Server background and perform the back up to floppy during normal Signaling Server operations.

The follower TPS only needs it's own IP address and the IP address of the call server.

It gets it's configuration via BOOTP fromthe call server. There is nothing really to back up on that device (or any TPS really).

What exactly is your concern?

You can backup the IP Configuration on a Signaling Server by getting the install disk and reboot the Server with the disk in the CD-Rom. Then on boot up you can choose the utility menu from the maintenance port with a terminal server. In the utility menu there is an option to back up the IP Configuration to the floppy drive A:\

My concern is to find a backdoor method of doing the same thing. Maybe in the oem, pdt, or vxshell shells. I want to put a floppy in drive A: of the Server and remote in while everything is still up and running and send the ip config to drive A:

If my Signaling Server crashes then I can fire up the replacement and reload from the IP Configuration on the floppy and bada bing bada boom I'm back in business. Right now, all my Servers are up and in use. I am trying to prevent having to take down the server to perform this back process.

I see your point, but to be honest, it would most likely be just as quick to enter the information manually.

You still have to boot into tools to read the floppy config in.

I don't know of a way off hand to do what you want without the tools menu
