Sorry to keep bugging with all my new questions on CM, but these items are driving me crazy.

I installed IP Communicator on a laptop here at work. It registered to the CM, I assigned it a number and it works great... on my LAN. I then connected the laptop to a DSL line and VPN into work and the phone will not register. Says rejected when i look at the phone on CM.

Could this be a port being blocked or something like that or maybe an issue with the way I have the phone built?... but it does work on the LAN.

Thanks Much

a bit late, maybe you'll read this.

what is the version of the callmanager and softphone, + type and brand of your vpn solution?

ofcourse you need 1 to 1 access from your vpn to your work. check with your network guy!

if port 2000-2003 are open (telnet from your laptop to your callmanager with telnet <cucm ip> 2000), maybe you are using ipsec on your vpn with softphone version 8? try at least v7 first, that one does not have an issue.

If it works on your PC/laptop in one environment, e.g. LAN, it should work from another, meaning that the problem is network related and not related to CUCM. So, I would check the network.
