I have a Cisco IP Communicator installed on my laptop. It works fine w/in the office but when I am out of the office and VPN into our network the communicator does not work properly. I can dial a number and it seems to connect but there is no voice traffic over the VPN. I am using a Microsoft VPN connection.

Make sure that when you are VPN'd in you can still route to the phones. Voice path is direct between the IP Comm and the phone. If the Communicator registers you can get to CallManager but you may not be able to get to the phones. Just worked through this same issue with a Cisco VPN client.

Sounds like the audio UDP packets aren't routing. Make sure the VPN lets you access the office phone VLAN and there's no policies blocking UDP traffic.
