HI,

I am using a laptop in two different environments. First one is the company network, based on novell with DHCP.

Second one is my private network at home where i have no DHCP-Server (XP-Professional)and manual ip allocation.

To do this, I always need to change my tcp-ip settings manually. This is a bit messy.

I am looking for a tool that can be configured in that way that I can simply change the IP by clicking a button ;-) <lazy>.

I tried Netswitcher, but this tool does not allow to set the IP itself, it does a lot of other nice settings, like mapping and stuff but no ip allocation or changing.

Is there maybe another little tool that can do this? Or if not, is there a way to install a little dhcp-server on my XP machine ?

Regards
Denny

Hi bcastner!

Sorry, I forgot to say that I am using XP only at home and Win2000 on the laptop.

And Win2000 does not have this tap, as I use only DHCP in the office

Sorry for any inconvenience

Hi Bcastner!

Well done! Its working fine and together with netswitcher I can also change my proxy, mappings, and all the rest.

Thank you for your help.

Kindest Regards
Denny
