IP Bootline Shortcut on 5235, 5330, 5340

Haven't seen see this one in the Docs or Knowledge Base anywhere (yet), so thought I'd pass it along.

On the 5235, 5330 and 5340 phones it is no longer necessary to power-cycle the phone to access the IP config screens.

1) Press both the Up/Dn keys simultaneously
2) Now release the Dn key only. Continue holding the Up key depressed (don't let go)
3) While still holding the Up key depressed, press 2-3-4 on the keypad (c-f-g)
4) now release the Up key

There is no specific minimum amount of time to hold these keys. As quickly as you can master and perform the above keystroke sequence, the phones will respond with a setup screen.

Dont know if I am stating the obvious, but that sequence also works on the 5220, 5224, and navigator phones.

It easily could. I haven't tried it. All I know is it does not work on the 5140 IPA.

Someone work up a list of everything it works on and I will add it to the FAQ.

For information, so far this trick appears to work on all 52XX Dual Mode phones along with the 5330 and 5340.

It specifically does not work on the older single mode phones
