Let me start by saying I know very litte about HP-UX, but I have inherited a HP9000 running HP-UX 11i. The 9000 has two NIC's, one already has a IP assigned to it. I need to assign a IP to the second NIC. A point in the right direction on how to do this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I figured it out this morning using sam. The issue I now have is after adding the ip on the second nic and then rebooting, I cannot ping either interace. On nic is on 192.168.51.x and the second on 192.168.1.x. If I disable the second nic (192.168.1.x), I can ping 192.168.51.x. Both nic's have different default gateway. Thanks in advance for any idea's.

Jim

nic's have no default gateway, but servers have (have a look in /etc/rc.config.d/netconf). Only one of your default gateways will work, apparently the wrong one.
