hello

i have just purchased a laptop..its a toshiba qosmio f20 and i cannot connect the laptop to my wireles network at home. i have a Gigafast WF719-CAPR router, i have two other toshiba laptops connceted to the network, but this one just doesnt seem to be able to connect. i assigned an ip adress to the laptop and it connects to the network, but still, i cannot get any internet access. i've been trying to work this thing out for days but no succeess and ive also read many other threads concerning this topic but what ever i seem to try, just does not work..please help me :)..thanks!!

You may just need to add the DNS server IP address for your ISP - I've seen that before.

k nvm..got it working..i just had to disable WEP encyption :D..thanks anyways

Hey,

If you had to disable your WEP encryption, that would mean that the network is now unprotected.... Anyone can come and have a brouse.

I would suggest that you add WPA encryption to the connection and try again. You roblem before was more than likely the wrong network key.
