Ok folks I have found that people are having some trouble remembering IP addressing. I found that the following table works great, really you only need to worry about the class C but you can also keep the A and B information to hand.

Binary 128 64 32 16 8 4 2 1
Subnet 128 192 224 240 248 252 254 255
Nets 0 2 6 14 30 62 128 254
Class A 8m 4m 2m 1m 500k 250k 128k 65534
Class B 32k 16k 8k 4k 2k 1k 510 254
Class C 126 62 30 14 6 2 0 0

I hope you find this helpful.

Unfortunately it didn't come out in a straight box. Make sure that the columns line up and it will make more sense.

SimonDavies,

Nice guide, I think it can help lots out there!

I love when everyone posts websites, hints and tricks they use - it helps us all.

Thanks!
