What are some good [free] sites to learn Subnetting?

thanks,

Jess

Bhandari-

I have read "most" Of the RFC.. its great for the geek... but I wonder if it's a bit much for a beginner in subnetting? I was lucky, I had done some programming before I learned IP so the idea of masking and stealing bits was already a concept I understood.

What about the rest of you? prior experience or did you learn it cold?

I have a couple of free calculators I use.

and one from solarwinds.net

I also have one for my PalmVII but they want money for it and I'm grumbling about it ;) As you can see, I deal with subnets almost daily. At last count my network has over 250 subnets from Class A to C and I'm trying to get ready for D which is multicasting.

Never a dull moment :)
