How can I find out how many IP addresses I have available.
I'm new in this, it is that every computer gets an IP address assigned when there log on.( I don't have to add one in Network Neighborhood). How can I find out which IP addressess and how many are available.
We have a LAN on a WIndows NT Server, Win 98 workstation.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I Assume your running DHCP.
Go into DHCP Manager and check under SCOPE

No we don't use DHCP, when I go to DHCP Manager there is nothing setup.
Any other ideas???

Try a network scanning utility like whatsup, it will specify the addresses in use

if you are in a bridged or switched network run a ping to the broadcast address....all pc will respond to this the look in your arp table and you'll find a list of ip address's and mac address's on your network.....This don't work through a router though ;-)

Broadcast address usually ends with 255 >xxx.xxx.xxx.255
