I have a domain with 2 sub-domains. Initially I configured the main domain and one sub-domain (on Godaddy.com) to point to two different Static IP addresses using HTTP (Port 80) at one location. No problems with the first two. Now, I created a 3rd sub-domain, no different than the other one, set it up in the IIS exactly identical to the other sub-domain (in exception of IP address and TCP port) but for some reason when you type in the URL it automatically changes the URL of the subdomain to the IP address. This is with IIS7 on Windows Server 2008 using ASP.NET 4.0. What could I be doing wrong?

Use a host header in your website binding

Hope this helps. Please let me know if this resolve your issue

Thanks, but I figured it out, that wasn't the issue. It was with GoDaddy, I had a messed up DNS record.
