Hello,
I need help with my network. The connection to the Internet keeps dropping. I have a DSL Router and this router is connected to a hub that is connected to the unix box. I think i have an ip address confilct. I have checked all the ip addresses on the system and they are all different. if i do an arp -a command is says (97.255.255.255) at (incomplete) (802.3) and i know this is the netmask ip address. I have tried everything except changing the card on the server. I fix the problem by rebooting every half hour. I would really appreciate any help I can get.

What makes you think you have an IP address conflict? Are you seeing any messages saying so?

Annihilannic.

FYI 97.255.255.255 is the Broadcast address for the subnet not the netmask (just to opposite really).
Is the router losing connection or just your unix box?
