IP address on VM system

My voice mail module went down a week ago and had to go out for service. I need to setup voice mail boxes for my employees. How can I use the Nortel system to tie into the voice mail system to enter these using the gui interface. I am unable to connect to the voice mail module because I cannot get an IP Address for it....anyone know if there is a default one?
