IP address of MERLIN MESSAGING Release 1.1.8

Hi All,
I am beginner for the Merlin Legend. Our company has moved to a new location and the new location has already installed with Merlin Magix. I am trying to connect to the MERLIN MESSAGING module through the LAN port but don't know the IP address. I have tried the default 10.0.0.41 but it didn't work. I have downloaded the MERLIN MESSAGING Admin software from Avaya's website and tried to connect through the RS-232 port.

I am able to connect through the RS-232 port but it doesn't give me an option to see or change the IP address. It seems, I need old version of MERLIN MESSAGING admin software which i don't have.

Is there any way to find or reset the IP address of the MERLIN MESSAGING Release 1.1.8?

What release of MESSAGING do you have?

IP Connections were only supported in Release 3 & 4.

R1 did not support the Lan Port 2, 2.5, 3 , and 4 does. They each have a version specific admin software.

It has a LAN port. Hown can I find out the version number on Merlin Messaging?

I think the software version is indicated on the hard drive label. If not, someone else will know exactly where it is.

It says Software Release 1.1.8. I checked by dialing 7 into admin voice-mail.

I think you have a Merlin Messaging R1, but I'll defer to anyone who knows the Magix inside & out.

Yes, I have R1. I just found it from the card inserted in the slot. Does it have a capability to access through LAN?
