Got a largely PC network with a HP laserprint attached to the network via a Farallon Ethermac iPrint Adapter LT PN 559 which allows an eMac with OS X to communicate with the printer via localtalk. Is there any way to determine the IP address of the ethermac iPrint Adapter?

If so, will I be able to print to the printer from PCs (XP machines like I can with a jetdirect)?

What does the documentation say about the IP assignment for the Farallon Ethermac iPrint Adapter LT?

It probably has a procedure to use to login to it, similar to the HP Jetdirect or the Lantronix types. See what the manual says, then update us with the results.

I appreciate the quick reply, however it is now clear to me that I should have specified that I can't seem to be able to find the manual. Farallon's website doesn't to exist anymore and google's search results don't seem to provide a link to the manual.

Is there any way of resolving localtalk information to an IP address? (Maybe using something along the lines of tracert?)

Any other suggestions? Or someone familiar with this product?
