ip address missing from ipconfig

just had to do a system restore after hard disc crash and now after reinstalling a new netgear nic and configuring i cannot get anything in the ipconfig from dos, any ideas????

This really isn't the right forum for this. What OS are you running? Have you verified the hardware in Device Manager? Thanks,

when you are first using a new nic card and it doesn't come up try to do an ipconfig release, and then an ipconfig renew type in ipconfig /? to find out the proper commands for your version of windows!
