Have a customer with MICS 6.1 & CP100, changed the ip to 192.168.1.199 now all I get is can't locate page. I'm thinking this is not a valid ip. I am going back today to try and get in thru the serial port. Any ideas??

it requires a reboot
is the pc capable establishing a connection to the CP? (ping is just part of it ...)
sometimes it helps to specify the protocol http://

if you cant ping - then serial port is the only way to look at whats going on ...maybe did a typo while entering the IP address

change your computers IP to 192.168.1.198
then see if you can get in.
I am assuming you have confirmed that X.1.199 is on their network.

Otherwise..serial

I went in thru the serial port and changed the ip back to default. Got in fine, then changed to a legit ip on their network, all is great now. Thanks for all the help....
