You are never sending an INVITE and you are getting a timeout on your STUN. What happens if you go to your LANx tab > Network topology and click the STUN button (takes a few min to complete). What does it come back wiht?

I'm connected directly to the internet with a static IP, but the Firewall/NAT type is coming back as Blocking Firewall.

I'm using the default STUN address as Bandwidth.com doesn't use a STUN server.

If you are on the open Internet you do not need STUN and you can turn this off. You also need to make sure your IP Route is set up for 0.0.0.0 / 0.0.0.0 / Internet gateway / correct Interface. Finally under the SIP tab select none under the network topology.

Manually select Open Internet from the drop down on the LANx Network Topology tab and set your port to 5060. Also bandwidth doesn't like it if you spam OPTION messages to bump this up to 3600 seconds unless you are not using registration then set it to 120.

Yes. Although I would never suggest putting the IP Office on the public IP for long term use. You are asking for trouble.

As it stands right now I can put 173.160.120.20 into Monitor and see everything going on with your IP Office. I could probably put that in Manager and open your config or erase your switch.

thanks for the help! Hopefully I can start making some calls, and move this behind our firewall :)

Do you have a DNS server entry in the IPO under the system tab? The IPO can't resolve sp-udp01.iad.bandwidth.com to an IP without a DNS entry.

No need for that biv343, if he filled in the ITSP proxy addres then it won't use the ITSP domain name :)

Lesson learned. I've used an IP on the SIP installs I've done, but all have been with Paetec. I haven't gotten the privilige to work with an internet based ITSP yet, at least with an IPO.

I've made my first call!!!! Thanks sooo much for the info.

Yes Paetec is a bit different as is is a dedicated circuit that doesn't route over the open Internet so you are much more protected. But now you'll be a pro.

Now that you've got it working, I'd be looking at getting that system behind a firewall, or at least change the default passwords if nothing else.

security login is a different password.

try;

UN: security
PW: securitypwd

Just helping out here...:)

Also don't forget to upgrade the system to the beta 2 build. It should have been completed by 10/31. :)

yeah, I will need to upgrade for sure. After making a couple calls, the IPO reset by itself.

Well I can't count the number of issues I have with SIP on beta 1 using all my fingers and toes so that doesn't surprise me.
