IP 1140E backlight not working

Any way to fix this? It is new in the box, and the back light does not work. I have it set to always on, and contrast is adjusted. Is this a LCD issue, or a simple repair? I would prefer not to RMA the product if it is an easy fix.

If the backlight doesn't come on during boot-up then you should RMA it.
