We have a BCM40 and a mixture of phones, including the 1120e. We recently replaced the BCM40 and voicemail with a another system, including a new voicemail system. During the cutover, each system was functional, either external and internal or just internal (depending in the process of the cutover). After the cutover and after some of the 1120e phones have been physically disconnected a few users have said they would like to try and access their old voicemails off the old system. The phones were working internally after the cutover, however now when I try to boot them up, they don't come up. All the lights flash and then go out like it's going to boot, but then all the lights appear again and stay on. I'm a bit stuck in the water on what to do next. Does anyone know if phones are disconnected for a period of time, they won't boot? Or is there some button process to boot the phones up?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Is the BCM still on your network?
Do you have any Norstar digital phones? Might be less of a headache to just plug one of those back in the BCM.

Yes, it is still on the network. These things seem so confusing to work. The user's extension was on the ip phone, but I guess I can change the extension on the digital phones to match the user's and then check the messages that way? Thanks vt for the suggestion!! I'll give it a try.

No need to change extension of digital set. Just plug it back into the BCM, when it comes on-line press Feature 981. Then instead of entering the password for that particular mailbox, you should see an option on the bottom line of the display that reads OTHR. Press the softkey under OTHR then enter the mailbox AND password for the particular User. Once complete, repeat with each User that needs to retrieve their old messages.

Thank you....that worked! Appreciate your help!
