Hi there,

I have a requirement where i need to have full EIGRP feature set on my 4500 running on Sup-6L-E which is currently running on "cat4500e-ipbasek9-mz.122-54.SG1.bin".

i was looking on the options and i think "cat4500e-entservicesk9-mz.122-54.SG1.bin" should suffice the need.

now the Q is :

1. is it possible to upgrade from the given source to the given destination ios?

2. any special caution to be taken, any doc specifying that?

Thanks!

No, just copy the new IOS image to the flash and configure it to boot from it and set the config register.
Code:
boot system flash:/cat4500e-entservicesk9-mz.122-54.SG1.bin
config-register 0x0102

Legally you have to get a upgrade from cisco . You are changing to a more advanced feature set .

True, and I expect it won't be cheap...
