IOS Message - 'Imax Error detected' ?

Can anyone give me a clue as to what this message means?

"Controller Port error. Interface .... Imax Error Detected"


Its on a 3750 POE switch so I presume its related to an Avaya phone on one of the ports.
Googling doesn't throw up many results :(

is that all the switch gives? No other information or error that you left out? What type of interface is it?
I would say this is a poe issue/error
