Hello

I have a old 2500 series router, I would like to upgrade the IOS Software but I can't download it from I am able to download any other IOS software for switches, etc.. but for this specific model I can't. Does somebody knows about a way or a site to download CISCO IOS software?, I know the best is to download it from Cisco but I haven't been lucky for this model.

Thanks in advance!

Come on...get a little creative, like with Google. It's like giving the answer on a Cisco test---I can't do it...I don't know...maybe try and Google IOS hunter or something...

You would think cisco would open up versions from old out of support equipment like the 2500's so that anyone could use it . Those have been dead for like 5 years now...

I agree---not only that, but how Cisco lawyers might come down on people for sharing. There are arguments for both sides, I suppose---the source code for one or two versions of IOS I thought was compromised at one time. We had a discussion a while back in the Cisco Certification and Training forum here in Tek Tips about this---how Cisco should maybe allow a version of IOS to be sold without SmartNet for training purposes...
