I can't use my Zip drive! :-(

When I do a "modprobe ppa" I get...

Parport0: detected irq 7; use procfs to enable interrupt driven operation.
Ppa: version 2.03
warning no ppa devices found
i(texto autodetect, no aplica)

scsi: 0 hosts
lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/scsi/ppa.o; init-module devicre or resource busy
insmod failed
insmod ppa failed

As I said, it's an external (parallel) Iomega Zip drive.
The cable DOES NOT have any label at all(I tell you this because I heard that it might say "Plug & Play" or something like that in newer versions).

Any ideas?
