It's YA on Steroids, minus phone, minus server. Interfaces between phone/pc/active directory/outlook contacts. Can drag-n-drop phone nbrs to it from any document, hit enter and it dials. Perform desktop taskbar lookup of names in active directory/outlook contacts, popus up their numbers, pick one and hit enter, it dials. several other interesting features, also combines pc companion. Unlike YA, IOC works only with the 53xx phones. There's a 5-day trial of the full product. Licenses seem to come in 5 packs. It's just now in rls 1.2 and yes there's some roaches in it but it's improving.
By the way, thanks for that link. There's a pretty good FAQ there and a link to "mitel support" which takes you to mitelsupport@ingenioussoftware.com so I interpret that to mean the folks at Ingenious are supporting it. From reading through the product FAQ it's obvious they're a pretty Mitel savvy bunch and no doubt have their own 3300 to play with and do development on.
Fully supported by Mitel. The company that produces it, is invested by Terry and they reside on the floor above tech support (separate company, but they are on the fifth floor).
They also work on the 5550 IP Console software and assist with a few other smaller software developments here at Mitel.
