Hi,

Invoking Foxpro command window is Ctrl+F2. However, why is it that when I execute a foxpro application and wants to Invoke the command window (by pressing Ctrl+F2) the command window does not show up. Is there any SET setting or command in foxpro that I am missing?

Thanks for your help!

Gene,

the command window is only available in the development IDE version of vfp.

There is though a free download at
see vrunfox.

this emulates the command window by doing (more or less) an

execscript(this.value)

in a textbox's valid method.

Gene,

To keep the command window visible while your program is running, right-click on the command window's title bar, and tick "Dockable" (do that before you start the program).

However, all that happens is that the command window will remain on the screen. You can't interact with it in any way.

If you want to actually use the command window, you will have to suspend the program. Either choose Suspend from the Program menu, or put a breakpoint in the program. You'll then be able to use the command window. To resume the program, choose Resume in the Program menu, or type RESUME in the command window.
