Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible in any way to have the netscreen do Invisible mode from Outside-IF to DMZ-IF and then do NAT between the Outside-IF and Inside-IF. Does anyone know that?

/Christian

THe short answer is no you cannot mix transparent and nat/route mode on a netscreen.

The reason for this is that transparent mode is layer2 only and as soon as an IP is set on an interface it sets the netscreen up as a layer 3 device.
Hence you can only do nat or route mode on it.

sounds like mips or vips are what you need.

Okay. It make sence. Guess i'll have to keep it in invisble mode at ask my other router to do the tricks. I also thought about NAT/Route but it would cost me too many IP's in my /29 network.

Thanks,
Christian
