Inventorying tapes hangs server 1

I'm using ArcserveIT Version 6.6 for NetWare. Recently, we upgraded to NetWare 5.1 with Service Pack 1. Since this time, there has been numerous times that the server hangs when tapes are being inventoried. We use a ADIC Fastor tape unit which has one 35/70 DLT drive and seven slots. The SCSI driver we use is the CANWPABD.NLM which is Arcserve's own driver. When the server hangs up, all processes freeze and the server needs to be bounced. Has anyone seen a problem like this?
