I am using access and ODBC into Mas. I need to write a report to show current and historic inventory valuation.

I can use IM5 to reverse current on hand to any historic date, but I do not know how to account for standard cost changes from current to history.

These changes do not appear in Im5, and I do not see a GL entry for a standard cost change. Our IM99 table is not fully populated because the history switch has been off.

Any table that has this information? Or alternate suggestions?

Thank you,
Blorf

I would import all the IM tables and look through them very carefully for this information. Also, have you tried searching through Best's TRSG for IM?

I have done extensive research on the topic and found that Mas maintains good records in IM5 of inventory transactions, so it is possible to determine what the BOH for any item in any warehouse was on any given date, but not the standard cost on any given date, making it seem impossible to do what i want to do.

There is IM_99, which tracks standard cost changes, and other changes to items in IM1, but the data is only stored if the record history setting within mas is set on. Similar to other modules.

My company went through periods of this setting on and off. We are a standard cost based company, so changes are important.

I had hoped that there would be a period ending table for month end closing that stored inventory values some where, but there does not apper to be.

Alas, I will make do with what I have.

Thank you for your time and help.
