Inventory Transaction 1

Have 10 pieces of Part "A". I want to move 8 pieces of Part "A" from Location "1" to Location "2".
Need to add the 8 pieces to Location "2" and deduct the 8 pieces from Location "1" leaving 2 pieces of Part "A" in Location "1

Transactions!

You have an ISSUE transaction for part A in location 1 of 8 on whatever date.

You have a RECEIVE transaction for part A in location 1 of 8 on whatever date.

When you query, you subtract your ISSUEs and add your RECEIVEs to calculate the net On Hand Balance as of whatever date.

Assuming I have a starting inventory to add to and deduct from

You might want to either have a START_BAL transaction or just RECEIVE the starting balance. Occasionally you might ADJUST the balance if you do a inventory audit.
