Hi All.
Anyone had experience developing an Inventory System (using CF of coz)?
I'm currently doing 1 now. I'm just wondering what is the best database design to store the stock
My table (mySQL) design:
table name = TBL_STOCKMASTER
PRODUCTCODE
ADDVALUE
MINUSVALUE
BALANCE
UPDATEDATE
UPDATETIME
COMMENT

Once we raise a "Good Received Notes" (meaning goods coming in), i will do a INSERT into the TBL_STOCKMASTER.
The fields, ADDVALUE, MINUSVALUE would depends on the operation, in this case of the Good Received Notes, it would be a ADDVALUE.
BALANCE is calculated from the previous BALANCE of the same PRODUCTCODE, and sum of ADDVALUE.
Of coz i got other tables to keep track of the goods received notes and other notes.

I was wondering is there another better way around to store stocks? The required operation for the stock is, to generate reports for Stock on Hand.

Thanks alot

Regards,
