I'm having an inventory problem on my NW 6.5 ZfD 6.5 server.
I used to have all computers in the same OU, but now I have moved computers to other OU's.
When the scheduled inventory starts I see this message on the server console:
Error in parsing: Since Workstation is absent in Database,Detete/Delta scan files are ignored.

Also when I look in C1 ZENworks Inventory,Minimal Information and then More Workstation information I get this message:
Inventory is not present in the configured inventory database.

How can I correct this problem ?

Even though ZfD 6.5 gives you the ability to move workstation objects, it's not always the best thing to do. When a move ocures, the system will leave a pointer to the original location of the object so that the workstation can still login, get told it was moved, and updates it's own registry info. If this update was not done, then thing won't work right. Quick way to check, remote control to the PC in question, if it works, then the PC did update it's self for the workstation objects new location. If it doesn't, then the update did not work. In my deployments, this kind of update did not work right until SP2 of the ZfD6.5 product.

Also, check to ensure the new location the workstation is in has a policy correctly setup for inventory. A nice way to check is to go to an object properties and open the Efective Policies tab. This will tell you what policies will be applied to the workstation.

If all else fails, just start over on your inventory. There is no historical data, it's all current data only, so redoing the database should not be to much of an issue.

I'm running ZfD 6.5 SP2 and yes I can remotecontrol my PC's after the move.
I've checked the effective policies on a workstation in it's new location and it has an Inventory policy.

Could it be so that Inventory will be corrected whenever a full scan has been executed ?

I can now confirm that when a full scan has been run
"More Workstation information" looks normal, ie. the computer is present in the inventory database again.
