Inventory Management Access Excel Import / Link

I am trying to do a very simple store inventory. The inventory is tracked in an Access database. I am using a palm to take an inventory from an excel file merged from the access database. Is there a way to link the excel and access databases so that when I am finished with my inventory, i have new my new transactions already imported into access from the excel sheet? I would like to have a new inventory transaction line for each completed inventory.
