Inventory Adjustment Problem

Does anyone know the following problem:

I am trying to adjust the number of an item thru "Task->Inventory Adjustment" in "PeachTree 2004 Complete": I enter the unit price for that item, and change the quantity number, the unit price goes back to 0.00 as nothing has been changed. Therefore, there is only change on Quantity of that item, but the account still lack of the respective amount of money(the total price should be changed).

If you know what the cause is, let me know.

If you want to enter a new cost for the item, first do an inventory adjustment to make the quantity 0.00. Then do another inventory adjustment to put in the correct quantity at the correct cost.
