Using Crystal 9.0 ADO recordset in Visual Interdev to produce ASP file. Converted Crystal report from 8.5 to 9.0 All other reports in 8.5 ok, 9.0 report will not display as ASP. Error message Error Occurred creating Report Object: Invalid TLV record. Checked DLLs. Running Windows 2000 as OS. Any suggestions are appreciated.

A TLV error generally occurs when something in the internal database schema maintened by the Crystal report no longer matches what is being supplied to the report at runtime. It's a pretty annoying error, because the "verify database on refresh" doesn't solve the problem.

To clarify your problem description, do you mean that you are using p2smon.dll and providing the report with an ADO recordset at runtime? If so, do you have any non-standard characters in the field names. I ran into a similar problem using Pervasive SQL and a very old ddf file (which provides the schema). The field names had characters like the "#" symbol, which CR 8.5 handled fine, but CR 9 choked on. In that case, I had to change the layout of the ddf I was using and then verify the database in the report. After that, everything was fine.
