I am trying to get a Thinkpad 600 working again. My grandmother purchased it, and it didn’t come with any of its original disks, etc. so I have no idea what brought it to this point. When I power on it says “Invalid system disk Replace the disk, and then press any key” She thought I would know how to fix it (I don’t) so if have any ideas I would be very grateful. I do have an extra copy of Win2000 to load on to it but I can’t get past this screen. It has a cdrom but no floppy drive.

Argh….

Thanks,
Angie

Hi again, there isn't a floppy drive only a CDROM

OK make sure the CD is not the first boot device and there is no disk in it. If ther isn't you may have to reformat the HD.

Boot from the Win2000 CD. If setup tells you that there is no hard disk, check the CMOS battery isn't dead.
