Every day when my backup job completes I am seeing these errors in the activity log.

[07/10/2003-04:24:26 ,1,0,0,0,-1,2,18,0,0] [CAT] Invalid session signature.(0)
[07/10/2003-04:24:33 ,1,0,32,0,-1,2,18,0,0] [CAT] Invalid file signature.(0)
[07/10/2003-04:24:37 ,1,0,0,0,-1,2,18,0,0] [CAT] Invalid session signature.(0)
[07/10/2003-04:24:43 ,1,0,32,0,-1,2,18,0,0] [CAT] Invalid file signature.(0)
[07/10/2003-04:24:51 ,1,0,0,0,-1,2,18,0,0] [CAT] Invalid session signature.(0)
[07/10/2003-04:24:57 ,1,0,32,0,-1,2,18,0,0] [CAT] Invalid file signature.(0)
[07/10/2003-04:25:04 ,1,0,0,0,-1,2,18,0,0] [CAT] Invalid session signature.(0)

Has anyone seen these or know what to do to fix them?

Thanks
Mark

I had 7 .cat files in the BAB\temp folder that were corrupt and couldn't be merged into the database. I removed the files and don't get the invalid signatures any longer.

Any chance the drive that houses your Arcserve DB is running low on space? Thats the most common source of DB and CAT file corruption.

I have over 8 Gb free on that drive, so I doubt if that is the problem. The database was never corrupted. I ran dbcheck and also dbfix on it with no errors returned. I guess only the cat files were corrupt.
When I went and looked at the file dates of the cat files, they correspond to three different days that my backup crashed and didn't complete. Maybe that is what corrupted them.
