I got an invalid scsi termination when I put in my new scsi drive in. How do i fix this?

Only drive, enable termination. Additional drive, disable termination. Then post back with the results.

Dang if they aren't going to take the fun out of SCSI. What controller are you using?

How many scsi devices do you have and where on the chain are they.

I have the scsi card at one end and the driver plugged in a the other end. There is an open slot in the middle. Is that my problem?

Depends on the drive and card. Normal connection is controller on one end and drive somewhere on the chain but best at the end. There should be a jumper on the drive that enables termination. Also a set of jumpers to set the drive address.
You can visit the drive manufacturer's site to get the details of jumper settings.
