Invalid request error?

Can anyone tell me what this message means?

"NOTICE: ida0: slot 6: invalid request on dev 1/0 blk 16843264 logical unit=0, block=16843264, size=1, cmd=0xA0, status=0x10"

Where are you seeing the error?

It is some sort of I/O error; probably a corrupt file system, or bad media, but it is hard to say just from the message. I've also seen similar errors on tape drives when you reach the end of the tape.

I'm running SCO on a Compaq Proliant 1500 box.
I think you may be right about bad media. I've also got an amber light on one of the disk drives.
