Hi, sometimes when my program (VFP 6 SP5) copies a file to our server (Novell) or tries to use a file on the server or append from a text file on the server, I get an "Invalid Path or File Name" error. If I retry, it always finds the file and goes on fine. A wild guess is that the server is sometimes slow to respond and Foxpro times out and gives up. Has anyone experienced this behavior before or does anyone know if there are Novell settings that can be adjusted?

Thanks,
Chris Johnson

You could try using the "on error" command which calls a procedure that waits (use "wait" command) a few seconds and tries again...

Remember to reset the "on error" once you get past that part of the program so thing don't get confusing...
