Invalid input. Invalid WIndows user. New Domain Controller

Hey there,
Accpac 5.6, win2008, sqlserver 2008r2.
I'm dry running deploying a replacement domain controller - when I go to edit users in accpac I get "Invalid input. Invalid WIndows user" when I try to save one that has a Windows user account associated with it [auth = both]. Note that the windows user accounts can be used to net use file shares - AFAICT the domain is healthy. Any ideas?

The domain is not healthy. You'll probably have to change each account to a temporary one on the new controller, then set it back to the old one.
