Hello again,

I have another problem on another server using Backup Exec 8.6. When I launch a backup and look in the Activity Monitor the jobs status is "queued (failed)". When I cancel the job and look at the job report the following message is displayed: "Invalid Identifier for the support series of the physical volumes library" (I translated the message from french. The french message is "Identificateur non valide pour la série de supports de la bibliothèque de volumes physiques."). Can anyone help me ?

Greetings,
Hans

hi - i had the same problem and the solution was :
1) to BACKUP the file "pvl.mdb" (from C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT) into another directory
2) copy this file from BE cdrom and paste in "C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT"
3) then you need to create again your job definition in BE

I made this modifications and it works fine.
I advise you to backup your older file (-> 1) ) in order to restore it if you would encounter a problem.

(sorry for any writing's errors ... but i'm french user :) )
