We have a pfa file that contains an OCR font and 2 bar code fonts. After doing the chvirprt. I recieve an error on certain printers
%% { error:invalidfont; OFFENDING COMMAND definefont
Stack
-dictionary
/ADVC39A
false
this only occurs on HP4, HP5 and the IBM 4317. All of the newer HP and Lexmark printers are fine. We print and build reports from oracle reports. I checked the font definition within the pfa file by loading it by itself and the font is fine. It only happens when I try loading all 3 font definition together. It seem to be like the file is so big that the printers are unable to read it.
Has anyone every tryed loaded a multiple font pfa file to these type printers? Could it be Microcode level to old in the older printers.
Any advise welcome. Thank You
