Hi,
I have 2 SQL Server 2005 databases and I am having trouble making links between tables in them.

To test I made a basic report, with no real content, 2 ODBC connections.
I added the 2 tables one from each database.
The 2 tables have key fields in common
Mixer, Rev, Recipe.

In the Visual linking expert, Mixer is automatically linked. I try to link Rev and I get a message..
"Invalid file link. Not all fields in the same index expression"

If I delete the Mixer link, I can link Rev, and so on. Only 1 link can exist at a time.

can anyone explain what is going on here?
thanks mark

Crystal 7 never had the capability of linking to servers together. Try sharing services between to the two servers and then you should be able to link fine in crystal, crystal will see it as one database then.

Thanks so much!
