I'm trying to link to a table in an Oracle database and am getting the following error:

Invalid field definition <name> in definition of index or relationship. (Error 3409)

Is this a problem that needs to be fixed on the Oracle side or is there some setting on Access that I can use to fix this. As it stands right now, when I get that error, I have no other option but to hit OK or HELP and then the table does not get linked.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Hi

I just got the same thing. I can link to some tables but some give me this error.

If you find a solution, please post it.

Any possibility that either of you might share your Oracle field names? I expect there is something on the Oracle side that Access can't get its head around.
