Invalid bracketing of name 'xls.' MS-Query Excel

Greetings,

My dilema is that when one user attempts to use MS-Query to do a simple query from one worksheet to another within the same workbook she gets this error "Invalid bracketing of name 'xls.'", I can do the same query on my machine and it works. We compared settings and the only difference is Share Workbook is not availble on hers and is on mine but that doesn't seem to be relevant. What is this error and how do I correct it?

Hi,

The problem is in the Connection String, and probably ALSO in the CommandText.

Do this.

Turn on your macro recorder.

EDIT the QueryTable until you enter the QBE Editor.

File > Return data to Excel

Turn off the macro recorder.

Post back in a NEW THREAD in Forum707 and PASTE your recorded macro, along with the description of the problem.
