Invalid Bookmark Error when deleting records

I am simply trying to delete records both manually, and via update query and also via code. All three ways are giving me the same error "Invalid Bookmark". This only happens on 2 of my Access databases and I have repaired and compacted them both, but continue to get the error. Other databases that I have do not produce this error. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Office 97.

Any ideas? Thanks.
